    HBB Provider Course

    Helping Mother's Survive Bleeding After Birth

    Learn to prevent and provide management for postpartum hemorrhage after birth, one of the leading causes of maternal mortality in the developing world. You will learn the basics of the third stage of labor, delivery of the placenta, active management to prevent bleeding, and then the advanced skills you need to respond to a postpartum hemorrhage including uterine massage, bimanual compression, shock management with NASG, uterine balloon tamponade, manual removal of placenta, and cervical laceration repair. If you would like to do the basic course only, you can sign up for just May 14. The second day will include more advanced skills to deal with hemorrhage that are for skilled healthcare providers.
